Step 1- You can determine your foot type by trying the "wet test". There are several ways to do the wet test. Yet, the main idea that you should remember is that you can leave a wet mark or footprint on any flat surface. For this example, you need a piece of cardboard and place it on an even ground.
Step 2- Bring a basin full of water and place it just beside the cardboard. Be careful not to spill water into the cardboard or the floor since it might cause slippage.
Step 3- With your bare foot, dip it into the basin of water and allow it to get wet evenly. Remove your foot from the water and allow the water to drip above the basin for a few a seconds.
Step 4- Once your foot is just wet, and not soaked with water, step your foot steadily onto the dry cardboard for a few seconds before fully lifting it up.
Step 5- Inspect the wet footprint left behind the cardboard.
After leaving the footprints behind, you can now determine which type of feet you have. You can either have flat, high-arch or normal foot. If you see the whole area of your foot on the footprint, where the ball of your foot and the heel are connected together with a thick band of wet moisture more than one and a half an inch, then you have a flat foot type. However, if you cannot see or barely see a connection between the ball of your foot and the heel, then you have high-arch foot. Also, a very thin line of connection measuring less than an inch can be considered high-arch foot. On the other hand, a connection that measures half an inch to one and a half is considered to have normal type of foot.
There are also other ways to determine your foot type.
